Dear friends,
It is with joy that we wish to share with you the aims and intentions that guided us in founding the Croatian Buddhist Society “Padmasana”.
The fundamental aim of the Croatian Buddhist Society “Padmasana” is to promote the precious treasury of Buddhist culture and wisdom, which can enrich the life of modern people and help revive the often-forgotten timeless values of inner spiritual life.
By cultivating this wisdom of the heart, many human virtues are developed: peace, non-violence, compassion, and genuine love for others. In this way, an awareness of interconnectedness and interdependence arises—of the wholeness of which we became a part by birth alone.
The goal of promoting the values of this ancient wisdom is to remind us of what we share in common, of the good within us, and to calm the sense of diversity and difference as something foreign or distant. This is the direction in which we should persist in the new millennium. The promotion of Buddhist culture and wisdom in Croatia is not intended to change our rich heritage or the centuries-old spiritual traditions present here, but rather to enrich and illuminate them with new insights—insights that awaken an appreciation for the existing values of our own tradition and spiritual culture.
May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
May they attain ultimate peace, happiness, and the sublime wisdom of equality in compassion and love for all that lives and feels.

Ukoliko ste zainteresirani za temeljiti studij buddhističke doktrine – logike, filozofije, psihologije i etike – na osnovi originalnih tibetanskih tekstova, kao i za seminare koje centar periodično organizira, možete se učlaniti u H.B.D. ‘Padmasana’.
Centar organizira ‘povlačenja’ i meditacije sa detaljnim uputstvima uz vodstvo Upasake Lobsang Norbu-a i Lhamo Ozer Chenma.
